Privacy Policy

Flee, operated by Attention LLC · Last updated 22 August 2026

Flee helps people stay away from content they have decided to avoid, and tells one accountability partner if they turn that protection off. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we never do with it.

Mobile numbers are never shared. No mobile information collected by Flee — the user's or their accountability partner's — is ever sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Numbers are used only to deliver the messages described below.

What we collect

  • A device identifier. Flee has no accounts, usernames, or passwords. Your device is identified by a random value generated on first launch.
  • Your onboarding answers, including the first name you sign with, so the app and your accountability partner's messages can refer to you by name.
  • Your accountability partner's name and mobile number, which you provide and confirm you have permission to share.
  • Protection events — when a commitment starts, ends, or its protection is turned off. This is what triggers a message to your partner.
  • Purchase records. Payments are processed by Apple or Stripe; we never see or store card details. If you pay on the web, Stripe provides your email address so your purchase can be restored on a new device.
  • Basic app analytics — which screens were reached — to find where the app is confusing or broken.

What we never collect

Flee does not and cannot see which apps or websites you block or visit. Apple's Screen Time framework returns opaque tokens that identify nothing to us. We do not collect your browsing history, your contacts, or your location.

Messages we send

With your permission, Flee messages the accountability partner you nominate:

  • one introduction identifying you by name, when you add them;
  • an alert if you turn Flee's protection off during a commitment you set;
  • an occasional confirmation when protection is restored.

Message frequency is low and event-driven — typically no more than a few messages per month. Message and data rates may apply. Recipients can reply HELP for help or STOP to opt out at any time; STOP takes effect immediately and permanently, and you are told in the app when a partner opts out.

Who we share data with

Only the service providers needed to run Flee: hosting and database providers, a messaging provider to deliver texts, and Apple or Stripe to process payments. They act on our instructions. We do not sell personal information, and as stated above, mobile numbers are never shared for marketing.

Keeping and deleting data

We keep data while you use Flee and delete it on request. Message records are retained as evidence of consent and opt-out. To delete your data, email the address below from the device you use, or ask us to remove a partner's number and we will do so.

Children

Flee is not intended for anyone under 17.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will update the date above and, where it affects messaging, tell affected users in the app.
